Summer Heat Baby
It's hot in Georgia, I understand that. Today the heat index was 111 degrees, I get it, that's hot. But I still can not understand when people say they hate the summer. Of course I was born in June and have always hated being cold. But it goes deeper than that. Yesterday I sat on my front porch and I drank my Izzie and waited on the UPS truck and it was one of the best afternoons I've had in a while. Stepping out in the sun makes me so happy, literal shivers run up and down my spine, I smile involuntarily the world is better. Its like an affirmation that there's good in the world, that you can be happy for absolutely no reason. So I was. And it was divine.

ReplyDeleteI don't hate summer...I just hate it when it gets THIS ridiculously hot. I prefer like 75ยบ. You still get warm when you walk outside but you don't sweat. That's perfect.
Also, love your header. I need to figure all this stuff out.
